The University of Southampton

Ada Lovelace Excellence Scholarship 2017

Women applicants from the UK or EU may submit an application for one of five available scholarships to a value of £3,000 each.

Applications must be submitted by midnight on 31 March 2017 using the link below and the successful applicants will be notified by email before the end of April 2017 (please note, this deadline has recently been extended). The award is conditional on the successful applicant selecting an ECS Programme as their firm choice, and is also conditional on achieving a minimum of AAA at A level (or equivalent). The decision will be made by a panel of ECS academics based on the applicant’s response to the registration question: “Please answer the following question in 500 words or less: Why is it important that tomorrow's Engineers and Scientists are as diverse as the rest of the population?” If the conditions are met the award itself will be made in Semester 1 of the first year of the successful applicant’s programme.

To apply please complete the registration form. You will need your UCAS number and a valid email address. You will receive a confirmation email from the system on successful submission of the form. If you do not receive this email within 24 hours then please attempt the registration process again.
