Graduate Careers FairThe School of Electronics and Computer Science (ECS) is one of the leading providers of high-level specialized undergraduate education in the UK, with a particularly strong reputation for the quality of graduates in Computer Science and IT in Organisations, Electronics, and Electrical Engineering, who are able to specialise in unusual areas of their subjects such as wireless communications, nanotechnology, artificial intelligence, and robotics, and whose degree programmes have a high proportion of group project work and individual research. Despite the economic downturn our students remain in high demand by employers. In 2010 95% of our 280 students who graduated that year were in graduate-level jobs within six months of graduation. We expect this level of success to be maintained or improved in 2011 . Because our students are in such strong demand both for graduate employment and for summer work placements and industrial placements during the course of their degrees, we hold our own annual Careers Fair. The 2012 Fair will be held on the University Campus on Tuesday 7 February. Around 1200 students will attend, and over 60 companies will be represented.
