FreshRelevance

FreshRelevance writes and delivers Digital Marketing Technology as a service. We work with leading online businesses such as White Stuff, Manchester City Football Club and Thorntons. Our technology analyses customer behaviour on the website in real time. We provide recommendations and triggered emails relevant to each customer. By blending real-time data capture, analysis and digital marketing technologies, we generate more sales and profit for our clients.

FreshRelevance is a small and rapidly growing company, based on Southampton Science Park in Chilworth. We have an informal work environment and are very responsive to ideas from staff and interns alike. The company employs three graduates from the University of Southampton and we would like to find more! We expect to continue rapid growth and plan to become a global leader in our field.

We are looking for Software Developers to work on web-based applications and huge data analysis projects using cutting edge web technologies such as MongoDB and node.JS.

The successful candidate will be given the opportunity to contribute in some or all of the following ways:

  • Take ownership of new client accounts, working with clients to capture their requirements, then implementing custom JavaScript to work with clients' websites through to a full implementation
  • Provide creative optimisation solutions to issues clients are seeing. They will then run split tests to prove the effectiveness of their solutions
  • Develop real-time applications using JavaScript and HTML5
  • Develop our web-based application, real-time widgets and real-time data analytics
  • Build sophisticated analytic models of customer behaviour and activity
  • Work with and contribute improvements to relevant open source software projects
  • Work with a range of technologies, including Python, JavaScript, node.js and MongoDB

Requirements: Good experience of software development, especially in a web environment. Strong practical experience of programming with JavaScript and associated web technologies, or with analytics. Prior experience with Python would be an advantage. Will probably have taken a degree with a strong software element.
