Who we are looking for

It’s true that building a career in financial services is a demanding option. You’ll need a strong personality, an ability to learn and think quickly, alongside the determination to excel.

We are looking for graduates with a range of perspectives, experiences and skills - people who can bring something different to our organization. Of course, academic credentials are important, but equally important are demonstrable skills such as problem analysis, judgment and decision making, planning and organizing, communication, drive and commitment, teamwork and innovation.

In return, we offer excellent career opportunities designed to match your ambition and potential.

Researching your desired business division is essential, whether through utilizing the wealth of information online, or by speaking to those already working in the industry.

Our graduates

The key to achieving growth and change is attracting the most talented, qualified and motivated people and giving them every opportunity to succeed.

The pace is quick, but the environment is supportive. Graduates at UBS have to use their judgment every day and are asked to make important decisions that impact themselves, their teams and our clients.

Work-life balance

At UBS, we recognize that employees have lives outside of their work and that there is a close relationship between their home life and their motivation and performance. We understand that work-life balance impacts everyone, regardless of your personal circumstances and commitments.

Learning and Development

Learning and development is a central part of UBS’s culture. We invest significant resources to ensure that the education and training you receive is relevant to your aspirations as well as our business requirements. The firm offers a broad range of opportunities and support to help you in your personal development and to plan your career.

Each business division has a specific approach to development to help employees and managers identify key areas of learning and development, and ensure they are delivered at the appropriate stages of an individual’s career. Our education programs focus on: technical skills, leadership and management and encourage a self-directed approach to learning with individuals taking ownership for their progression and development.  We set extremely high standards for our recruits and reflect these in the way we challenge them through continued education and development.

Summer Internship Program

We offer structured summer internship programs, where you will work alongside some of the brightest and best people, learning about our organization, a specific business division, our clients and the products and services we offer. Throughout, events are run to ensure your experience is packed with learning, training and networking opportunities.

Graduate Training (For UK and Swiss IB grads)

The UBS EXPLORE Graduate Program is a learning journey.  All graduates from across UBS’s businesses and throughout the firm have a common mission to build business-specific proficiencies and firm-wide knowledge.  UBS graduates enter intensive, industry-leading EXPLORE training program at the start of their careers with the firm lasting from 18 – 24 months.
