What is it like studying here?

The course is an extremely challenging one and I learnt a lot in a very short period of time. The lecturers are also very inspiring and insightful. 

What are you enjoying most about your course?

The course offers practical knowledge on the subject which better prepares us for working in industry. 

How has your time at Southampton helped you to grow as a person?

Being a Southampton student, I have learnt a lot in just a matter of three months. Though it was hard to cope with the assignments in the beginning, I have vastly gained a lot of knowledge. I feel confident studying in the field I love the most. 

What is the city of Southampton like to live in?

Southampton has become one of my favourite places to live in because of its calm environment. There is easy access to any shops. Morning jogs in the Southampton Common is always a pleasant experience. I also enjoy going for a walk by the port, and going sightseeing by the cruise ships. 

Southampton University provides a myriad of facilities with respect to academics. My best experiences have mostly been in the lecture halls and laboratories during the insightful lectures and inspiring academics.

I stay in the Mayflower halls, which has good safety measures helping us to always feel secure. It was easy to settle in the halls as they provide all the facilities with immediate response to any queries or complaints. 

What advice would you give to students starting an MSc in ECs and coming to the UK?

I would advise students not to worry about not settling in as it is not as hard as it initially seems. Also, I would advise them to enjoy the course and make the most of it. 

What do you feel you gained by studying in the UK?

I have gained a lot of practical knowledge on the subject. My experience here has made me look at how to apply my knowledge to real-life examples. 

Do you know what you will be doing after graduating from ECS?

After graduating from Southampton, I look forward to working in an electronics-based industry.
