I completed my Bachelor's degree in cultural sciences at FernUni Hagen in 2013. This first degree had a strong focus on sociology, with the final thesis considering how online media affect program development in political parties. I was awarded an EPSRC scholarship to study the iPhD course in Web Science in 2014. The MSc was completed in September 2015, receiving a distinction. My thesis was about decision-making processes in web-native or non-web-native parties. I am now in my third and final year of the PhD, researching the effects of the introduction of online participation processes in the Green Party Germany.

After finishing the MSc, I started working as a mentor in the FPSE MSc Mentoring Programme at the University of Southampton, becoming a Senior Mentor in 2016 and Coordinator of the Program in 2017.

I am also a trained bookseller and have several years of experience in project and management.
