Postgraduate research student


I completed a Bachelors degree in Photography in 2000, where my research focussed on identity and online identity without an image. I was awarded a Masters in Gender, Sexuality and Culture in 2016, from Birkbeck College. My dissertation focused on Gender in Public Spaces, specifically looking at how women share their narratives of Street Harassment online. I am in the process of ending my MSc year of the iPhD in Web Science, and going into my first PhD year. My dissertation is on the subject of the Web and the advancement of feminist activism. 

I have taught Art and Photography in Seconday school, both home and abroad in New Zealand.


Research interests

My research interests are Gender, the Continuum of Violence Against Women, the Web and Activism, Activist efforts to make Social and Criminal Justice change. 


Conferences attended

I presented at the Feminist Womens Studies Association conference in 2016, where I spoke about my MA dissertation. I won the Wolf Wayne Award from Birkbeck College to be able to fund my attendance at this conference. 

I am due to present at the Feminist Womens Studies Association conference in 2017 on my MSc dissertation subject.
