Professor of Bioelectrostatics and Head of Bioelectrostatics Research Centre (BRC). The BRC was established in 1995 following substantial industrial funding. Research activities include the adaptation of aerosol technology to health care and biological applications. Electrostatic deactivation of allergens and bacteria also form a major part of current research activities.
BRC Awards and Distinctions include:
IEE Maxwell Premium for paper entitled "Experimental and Numerical Investigation of Field Conditions Associated with the Transport of Low Conductivity Liquids and Powders".
Society of Cosmetic Scientists Publication Prize for paper entitled "Electrostatic Emulsification of Domestic and Personal Care Products".
The Prince of Wales Award for Innovation for Electrostatic Technology in Pest Control.
The Design Council Millennium Products Award for 'Smartseeker' Aerosol Technology.
