Worked in Ferranti (Navigation and Radar Systems Divisions) in Edinburgh from 1988 until 1994 and then moved to Analogy, Inc (based in Swindon and Beaverton, OR, USA). Picked up postgraduate qualifications in Digital Systems Engineering 1992 and an MBA in 1999, before leaving Analogy to return to Southampton in 1999 to complete a PhD degree - finishing in 2001.Carrie dout post doctoral research in the school of Engineering Sciences (Southampton) 2001-2002 in the area of Microgrids. Appointed Lecturer in ECS in 2002 in the Electronic Systems Design group (ESD) and elevated to Senior Lecurer in 2005, and Reader in 2010. Course Leader for Masters in Microelectronics System Design and System On Chip.
