After finishing his MSc in Software Engineering in 2007, he worked as a software architect in the banking and finance sector in Frankfurt/Germany before he started his PhD in 2008. During his first degree, he was working part-time with a small IT company, mainly developing dynamic web applications, and continued to work in industry as a software development manager and software architect after he graduated in 2005.
