My research interest lies in the field of advanced insulation materials, with focus on nanostructured polymers. Filler-matrix interactions and their impact on the bulk properties of a given insulation material are topic of much of my research output, as well as to develop methods to simulate these interactions. Simulations are a useful tool but as Richard Feynman once said: If it disagrees with experiment, it's wrong. Hence I am very keen on testing all hypotheses with experimental work.
