ChamSys

ChamSys is a leading manufacturer of lighting control equipment for theatres, TV, film and live events.

ChamSys products are used to control lighting and media for many high profile musical events, from small scale installations in bars and clubs right through to arena and stadium size events.

Last year over 10 of the stages at Glastonbury festival used ChamSys control consoles. ChamSys consoles were used to light the final 2 films in the Harry Potter series, as well as the recent Pirates of the Carribbean, X-Men and Aliens films.

ChamSys has opportunities for Engineering undergraduates/graduates to join our small but growing Engineering development team. ChamSys is looking for self motivated people who can demonstrate the ability to work within a small informal team environment, and to make an active contribution to the development of new products. We would welcome applicants with a particular interest in working in the live entertainment sector.

ChamSys has a number of ongoing projects that include varying elements of hardware design, firmware development, software development and testing. ChamSys use Altium and CadStar for circuit design and C/C++ for software development. A knowledge of OpenGL, Pic32, ARM, networking or WIFI would be useful but not essential.

ChamSys is based in Freemantle, Southampton - approximately 0.75 miles from the City Centre.
