Sungard Financial Systems

SunGard’s Financial Systems business provides mission-critical software and IT services to institutions in virtually every segment of the financial services industry. Working across financial services our clients include asset managers, traders, custodians, compliance officers, treasurers, insurers, risk managers, hedge fund managers, plan administrators and clearing agents.

In addition, we also provide professional services that focus on application implementation, the integration of these solutions and on custom software development. We take pride in the success of our customers, in seeing our solutions go live and our customers achieving their goals.

Our 18 month programme is designed to give you responsibility right from the beginning, however you will not be left without support and there are continuous assessment points within the programme that help us monitor your progress. Training is tailored to each business area and once you are settled, your responsibilities will increase and some decision-making will be swiftly transferred to you.

Wherever your talents and aspirations lie, we will work with you to develop your potential. You can expect to be challenged with real business tasks as well as benefiting from the continuous development of your skills, knowledge and experience.

We therefore look for people who take the initiative and get excited about the challenges their role can bring. If you appreciate the advantages of working with people from diverse backgrounds and thrive in a culture that values teamwork, personal accountability and excellence, you will fit right into our working environment. We want creative problem solvers who are looking to apply their intelligence, determination and resourcefulness to make a meaningful contribution.  If that sounds like you, you’ll do well at SunGard! We offer opportunities in:

  • Professional Services
  • Software Development
  • Actuarial
  • Client services
  • Systems Engineering (Hosting & Managed Services)

Our selection process will give you every chance to show us what you are made of. If you are successful in your application, you will be invited to complete a set of online tests. These will assess your numerical and logic reasoning skills and upon successful completion of these you will be invited to the offices for interviews. The first round of assessment consists of a motivational and competency interview and where applicable, a technical interview. If you are successful in your first round interviews, you will be invited to an Assessment Centre - this involves a full day visit to our offices to complete a variety of exercises, which may include: competency-based interviews, a case study/presentation and a group activity.
