Maria Angelica Hernandez Colin is a postgraduate research student in the Electrical Power Engineering Research Group (EPE) at the University of Southampton, United Kingdom.  She studied a BEng. in Electronic Engineering and a MEng. in Electrical Engineering at the Institute of Technology of Madero City, Tamaulipas, Mexico. Her current research project is focused on thermal risk estimation and management in offshore wind farm power cables in order to maximise the cable utilisation.
