My research looks at the evolution of Web technology from an interdisciplinary perspective. Drawing on literature from fields such as economics, cultural evolution and sociology, I'm trying to explore how we might theorise and empirically examine the history of large-scale technological change on the web. One of my main interests relates to the use of digitized longitudinal datasets about inventions (e.g. patents) as a means for quantitative systematic analysis.
