Thabiso M. Maupong

Postgraduate research student

Thabiso Maupong graduated with an MEng in Computer Engineering from the University of Southampton in 2008. He joined the Visual, Learning and Control group in Septermber 2013 and, he currently working towards his PhD in Control Theory. From 2008 to 2009 Thabiso worked for Invensys Process Systems (IPS) as a graduate engineer. He then joined Botswana College of Agriculture (BCA) as a lecturer. In 2012 he  joined Botswana International University of Science and Technology (BIUST) as a founding teaching instructor.

2014 - Present: Mentor for MSc. Systems & Signal Processing: Duties included meeting with a group of 5 Msc. students, for a minimum of 1 hour on a weekly basis. During the meetings we discuss  various topic ranging from helping students settle to life in Southampton, resources available to help in their studies, queries on courses of the MSc., and support throughout their studies.

2013 - Present: Tutor for Digital Control System Design (ELEC3206) : Assist students with tutorials.
