The University of Southampton

Our undergraduate programmes offer a grounding in the essentials plus a range of optional modules, so you can build a course that reflects your interests.

Our programmes include a mix of compulsory and optional modules. The compulsory modules will provide a solid foundation for your chosen discipline area, building the knowledge and skills required for the remainder of your study.

Our optional modules allow you to tailor your studies. You may decide to retain a broad-based path approach to your chosen discipline or choose to specialise in a specific theme.
