Employability is embedded into modules from the first year onwards and right from the first lecture. We explain the degree skills which are being taught throughout the modules and offer a number of optional employability modules.

The technical skills you will obtain are in high demand, as are skills of understanding and analysing problems, together with communicating the results.

Industry and government have a special need for cyber security in a great variety of applications; investment in the area measures in billions. You could end up as part of a team writing next-generation secure operating and communication systems, working to block the spreading of malware, developing new defensive programming techniques, or work in government to protect our national infrastructures, fight cybercrime, or advance our cyber defences.

Through our Cyber Security Academy you will be constantly in contact with leading companies active in cyber security, and will have the opportunity through summer internships to build an attractive professional profile from the start.
