BiographyAsma Ounnas is a third year PhD student in the Learning Societies Lab. She is currently looking at computer-supported group formation using Semantic Web technologies. In particular, Asma is interested in the formation of teams, communities of practice and social networks within the leadning domain. The motivation of the research is influenced by the teachers' need to allocate students into groups that maximize their personal benefits while keeping the groups balanced in terms of predicted performance. The PhD research also includes user modeling and personalization at the individual level within groups. Asma is also interested in the development of large scale virtual universities.
