Biography

Evangelos Mazomenos was born in Athens, Greece in 1982. In 2000 he enrolled at the Polytechnic School of Electrical and Computer Engineering, University of Patras. He graduated with a Diploma in Electrical and Computer Engineering in 2006. Since October 2007 he pursues a Ph.D degree at the School of Electronics and Computer Science (ECS) University of Southampton. He has co-authored a number of publications in international conferences and journals. During his studies, he has supervised a number of Final Year and Master Projects. His research interests are basically within the area of wireless sensor networks and include, target detection and tracking, statistical signal processing, wireless sensor networks for medical monitoring and network architecture. In 2009 he was awarded the prestigious Leslie H. Paddle Scholarship for postgraduate studies from the Institute of Engineering and Technology (IET former IEE).
