The group secretary for the Information: Signals, Images, Systems Research Group is Amanda L Goodacre.

Biography

I am currently a research fellow working with Prof. Steve R. Gunn in the Information: Signals, Images, Systems Group in the School of Electronics and Computer Science at the University of Southampton. Previously, I worked with Dr. Craig J. Saunders for a year before he joined the Xerox Research Centre Europe at the end of April 2009.

My current research interests lie in the design of kernel machine learning and ranking algorithm in eye-tracking application. I currently involve in an EU FP7 funded PinView Project.

Prior to this I was a research associate working with Dr. Robert F. Harrison in the Computational Data Modelling Group in the Department of Automatic Control & Systems Engineering at the University of Sheffield.

Previously, I was a PhD student at the same university looking at the design of kernel machine learning in Chemoinformatics. My research was supervised by Dr. Robert F. Harrison. Work was in collaboration with Prof. Peter Willett, Chemoinformatics Research Group in the Department of Information Studies.
