I belong to the Electronic Systems and Devices Group, working under the supervision of Prof. Bashir M. Al-Hashimi in the Pervasive Systems Centre on optimization of computing systems that utilize energy harvesting. Before joining ECS, I worked at Digitek Engineering Karachi as a hardware design engineer on design and verification of digital communication FPGAs from 2007-2008. Earlier I worked at the Information Technology Center at King Fahd University of Petroleum and Minerals on the implementation of SunGard Banner Student System as a member of the data migration team for a brief period of 6 months. I obtained my MS degree from the Department of Computer Engineering at King Fahd University of Petroleum & Minerals. I was a Research Assistant there did my thesis in the area of VLSI test data compression under the supervision of an excellent adviser Dr. Aiman H. El-Maleh. I also worked with the Parallel VLSI CAD group led by Dr. Sadiq M. Sait. I was born and raised in Karachi, Pakistan. I obtained my Secondary School Certificate (Science) in 1994 from St. Paul's English High School Karachi and got my Higher Secondary (School) Certificate (Pre-Engineering) from Adamjee Government Science College Karachi in 1996. I earned my Bachelor of Engineering degree in Computer Systems Engineering in 2001 from NED University of Engineering and Technology, Karachi. From 2001-2003, I served as an instructor in the computer engineering department at Sir Syed University of Engineering and Technology, Karachi.
